These have proven to be indispensable.
To make them, all that is required are these 2 items:

- Miniature (3/32"W) cable ties, to prevent the as yet unshrunk tubing from shrinking due to the heat of the soldering process.
- Teflon tubing 12 AWG (1/8") which will protect adjacent solder points, accurately.

Miniature Cable Ties - Cut and Bend. They will prevent shrinking of tubing in tight spaces.

Cable Ties- Miniature, colors.
Cable tie as original, and cut/bent.
Cut Bent Piece

Available at most electronic or hardware stores (chains). You will have to cut them about 2/3 the way from the tip, removing the "heads." Then, you will bend it, so that the more narrow tip AND perhaps the opposite end will fit as well inside of CUT pieces of heatshrink (meant to eventually be fitted over the completed solder joint) to prevent the yet unshrunk tubing from shrinking due to the heat of the soldering process.
